What kind of porta potties can I rent?
Start with the workhorse. A standard portable toilet has a 60 to 70 gallon holding tank and takes up about 44 by 48 inches on the ground, standing roughly 92 inches tall. That is the unit most construction sites run. Some folks call it a porta john and it is the same thing.
Need something nicer for guests? The deluxe flushable unit has a flush pump and a sink inside. For weddings and upscale events, people ask for a fancy or luxury option, which means a restroom trailer with real stalls and running water. How many porta potties do I need?

Do I need an ADA or handwashing unit?
Often, yes. Where single-user units are grouped, ADA Standards section 213.2 requires at least 5 percent to be accessible, and never fewer than one. That accessible unit needs a 60 inch turning circle inside per ADA Standards section 304.3.1 and a route at least 36 inches wide under section 403.5.1. Handwashing is its own rule. 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2) says washing facilities need soap and towels or a dryer, and hand sanitizer alone does not count.
